Gene Flores
Clinic Director (PT, MPT, MLS, CSCS)


Gene FloresClinic Director (PT, MPT, MLS, CSCS)Gene Flores is a Partner, Regional Director, and the Clinic Director at the Porter Ranch Vargo Physical Therapy location. A licensed Physical Therapist since 2004, he holds a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy and integrates advanced manual therapy techniques with targeted exercise programs to help patients restore function, reduce pain, and improve overall well‑being.
He earned both his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences and his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from California State University, Northridge. Gene is an ASTYM‑certified clinician and has completed extensive post‑graduate training in orthopedic manual therapy and orthopedic physical therapy. In 2009, he achieved his Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He is also a Certified Movement Links Specialist (MLS) through Movement Links and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Outside the clinic, Gene enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children. He is also dedicated to personal fitness and can often be found at the gym engaging in both strength and cardiovascular training.

Outside of the clinic, Mike enjoys eating good food, playing video games, and going on new adventures!

Francis-Ryan IgnacioPhysical Therapist (PT, DPT)Francis-Ryan earned a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Cal State University Northridge in 2018, followed by a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the same institution in 2024.
Outside of work, Francis-Ryan enjoys basketball (especially the Los Angeles Clippers), attending concerts, and exploring new hobbies like learning guitar.

Justin CastilloPhysical Therapist (PT, DPT)Justin PT, DPT is a Doctor of Physical Therapy providing patient-centered, evidence-based care at Vargo Physical Therapy – Porter Ranch. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from California State University, Northridge and completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Methodist University. Justin is passionate about helping patients restore mobility, build strength, and return confidently to the activities that matter most to them.
Outside of work, Justin enjoys golfing, staying active, and continually striving for growth both professionally and personally.

Mike FordPhysical Therapist Assistant (PTA)Mike completed his Physical Therapist Assistant license at Concorde Career College in 2018 after obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal State University Northridge.
When not on the clock, Mike enjoys wakeboarding on the lake, snowboarding on the mountain and volunteer coaching a local high school baseball team.

Joshua Garrett
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)


Joshua GarrettPhysical Therapist Assistant (PTA)Joshua graduated from CSUN in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with an Emphasis on Exercise Science. At Concorde Career College North Hollywood, he obtained his Physical Therapist Assistant Degree and California License in 2025, immediately joining the Vargo team he had come to know after a clinical rotation at Vargo PT.
In his spare time, he loves spending time with friends and family, watching Formula 1, and playing with his Golden Retriever, Indy. When not at home he can often be found attending live music events or going for scenic canyon drives.
